Memorial Fund for Bill Vosaniveibuli and Family
Donation protected
This past weekend, the world lost Bill Vosaniveibuli suddenly and way too soon. He died at the age of 47 because of complications with pneumonia. For over twenty years, Bill and his wife Finau, who goes by Fi, have devoted their lives to being hospice caregivers—the work of kind, patient angels. They started their own home care agency together from Santa Rosa, helping families all over the Bay Area navigate through the end of life process of their loved ones with dignity and compassion.
Bill and Fi are originally from Fiji, and have two sons (Markes and Paul) and a daughter (Halani). Their youngest, Paul, is 11 years old. Throughout the pandemic, Bill and Fi have cared for clients. They spent more time with other families than with each other. Our family was lucky to experience their kindness and expertise during the strange, difficult time of saying goodbye to our late grandmother, who passed away in October.
We set this GoFundMe up to help Fi and her family with memorial expenses, other personal needs, and to make sure they can stay afloat during the long and trying period ahead of them. All donations will be withdrawn from GoFundMe by me (Siena) and transferred directly to Fi and her family.
Along with losing Bill, Fi also lost her father unexpectedly two months ago, during a routine stent surgery. When we learned this news in the middle of the night, we urged Fi to leave and be with her family. But she stayed until the morning, because she did not want our grandmother to wake up and feel confused or agitated because Fi wasn’t there. This small act says everything you need to know about Fi and the kind of selfless, loving, kind person she is.
We are heartbroken that Fi is now faced with running the business on her own and keeping everything together for her family, amidst the immense grief of these two major losses in her life, during an already heartbreaking pandemic.
Thank you for reading, and for whatever support you can provide. We hope you and your loved ones are able to stay safe, connected and healthy in what is hopefully a brighter 2021.

Here is an excerpt from a letter written by one of Fi's former clients, Duane Onomiya:
"Your being in my life has enriched it to the point where I can meet my future calmly and peacefully. That is a gift you have given to me. I can’t express how fortunate I feel, how joyous I am to have been able to have you here and to have someone who is so, so much more than a caregiver."
