Memorial Fund for Lauren Cameron

Lauren Cameron was tragically pulled out to sea while vacationing in Kauai with her partner of 4.5 years, Torin Blaker, on 12/11. This fund is to help with expenses related to the situation for both sides, including memorial, costs related to the search, etc.

Lauren was an absolutely incredible, kind, caring, and loving person who always went out of her way to show her support for everyone around her. After growing up in Kentucky, she lived in Washington state where she met Torin in the summer of 2020. They connected over their love of nature and the outdoors and could often be found roughing it on multi-day backpacking trips in the wilderness. She moved up to Alaska with Torin in December 2022 and fell in love with it, almost immediately acclimating and quickly becoming a badass Alaskan woman.

They loved to do everything together, from bonding over their love of cooking to crafting Christmas gifts for the whole family. She supported Torin in the most incredible way, being his steadying force and helping carry out his wildest ideas, all with excitement and patience. As Torin's sister I don't have as much insight into her childhood, but I can say she was loved and will be deeply deeply missed as we all go through agony over both the loss of her and watching my brother go through one of the most horrific experiences one could ever think of. She was the most caring person, patiently supporting Torin after he broke his hip and needed to have surgery. I have been through my own health battles in the last several years and she would send me handmade cards from time to time, always with a Starbucks gift card and after surgeries she send the most incredible care packages that were so perfectly tailored to me, you'd have thought we were real sisters. She was so kind and will be so deeply missed by many many people.
