We mourn the untimely and sudden passing of Adreas Dors, who lost his battle with Covid-19. He will be missed as a loving and dedicated family man, father to Hannah and Micah, husband to Connie for 25 years, also as a brother, an uncle, and friend to many. Our hearts are broken and filled with great sorrow.
Unbeknownst to many, Andreas was a cancer survivor(non-Hodgkins Lymphoma). That season gave him a passion for the Word of God. Andreas believed in and leaned heavily on his favorite scripture, 1 Peter 2:24 "by His wounds, you have been healed."
Andreas's passion and love for the Word of God led him to Lakewood Church in 2011, first serving in Kids' Life for 3 years, then later in 2018 joining the Ministry Assistance Team. He had a passion for serving but greatly looked forward to and embraced the fellowship of those whom he served with and ministered to. Andreas loved the outdoors, beaches and loved his pets. Andreas had a great sense of pride in his role as a father, husband, and leader of his house, he was a constant source of security to his family.
Adreas' loss leaves his family facing some uncertainty, but also strength in knowing and realizing that at this time, we come together as a family of believers to lift them up. It is also that passion and love of Christ that gives Connie, Hannah and Micah peace- that surpasses all understanding, knowing that God has not forsaken them and He never will.
Connie, Hannah, Micah, and all of Andreas's family want to express their deepest gratitude and sincere thanks for your generosity, your thoughts, your many prayers, and countless acts of kindness in their time of grief. These funds will help Connie with immediate and future expenses. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and may God richly bless each of you.
