Eric Von Frederick Walther of Murfreesboro, TN passed away December 1st, 2019, having suffered a stroke at the age of 45.
He is survived by Abigail Brooke and Jack Von Eric, his two wonderful children. Also surviving are his parents; Margie and Fred Walther, his sister; Rebecca Walther, nieces; Nicole Primm and Esther Soper, nephew; Luke Primm and great niece; Annabella Mensch. He was preceded in death by his sister; Katy Primm. Eric leaves behind a family of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will also be missed by his feline family, Jessie and Thorny and his "German Family" siblings; Eva, Alex and Melanie Knoedler.
Eric was raised in Jerseyville, IL before moving to Murfreesboro, TN where he graduated from McGavock High School and received a bachelor’s degree in history from Middle Tennessee State University. He was a valued member of State Farm Insurance for over 15 years.
Eric was an avid sports fan, even co-hosting Armchair Quarterback – a podcast and radio show loved by many. He loved playing tabletop games, especially when they could be combined with his passion for history. In fact, he gamed with the same group for over 20 years.
Eric was also an organ donor, continuing his generosity in life past his death. It is our hope that this gift can benefit as many lives as possible. That is the man Eric was.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in the name of Abigail and Jack Walther.
