Memorial for Voice Actor Dan Harder

My name is Andy Barnett, and I'm a friend and voice over colleague of the late Dan Harder. I'm setting up this fund to help his family out during this difficult time. Dan passed away from complications from cancer treatment on the morning of July 29th, 2021.

I first met Dan in 2012 when I attended my first voice over conference and we were roommates at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. I'll never forget how kind he was and the friendship we developed over the years around the topic of one of our passions: voice acting and voice over. I considered Dan a friend and mentor - someone who I wish I had gotten to know even more than I did. Ultimately, it's believed one of the factors in the cancer that Dan developed came from (unbeknownst to him) toxic materials used to build his dream voice over studio in Colorado. We visited many times over the years when I'd be in Colorado or at conferences. I remember encouraging one another early on in our careers as we were both contemplating going full time in VO (something we both were grateful and blessed to do).

Dan and I shared a common faith in Jesus Christ and the belief that He desires a relationship with each and every person. I take comfort knowing that Dan had just such a relationship and is now in heaven without pain. At the same time I grieve for his family (his wife and two kids) who had him taken from them far too soon. Will you please join me in raising money to help pay for memorial expenses as well as funds to take care of the family in the months ahead? With the loss of Dan comes a loss of their only source of full time income on top of the emotional suffering.
