Memorial for Steve Cashell

Hello.  My name is Christopher Cashell; my brother was Steve Cashell. My parents and I looking to get a memorial for Steve.

 

Anyone who knew Steve likely knew that Steve was a huge fan of sports, particularly football, and he was a huge Husker fan. In line with that, we're looking at getting a memorial plaque on a bench outside of the Cornhusker's Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. The cost for the bench memorial is expected to be around $3500 (posted details: https://bf.unl.edu/policies/botanical-garden-and-arboretum-special-gifts-program). The fundraiser is set to just above that to cover the bench and any associated/additional fees.

 

Once we get the bench and plaque done, we'll share the location details so any of Steve's friends and family that go to a Nebraska game (or are otherwise in Lincoln) can take a few minutes to rest on the bench and remember Steve and the amazing person he was.

 

Every penny contributed to this fund will go towards honoring Steve's memory. If there are any funds left after paying for the bench, we'll look into similar, smaller memorial options (such as a memorial brick at the Nebraska Humane Society).
