On behalf of the entire Doucette family, with grieving hearts we would like to thank our Big Bear Family for your outpouring of love and support. On Friday, June 5th at 3:30 pm our sweet Shery and her beautiful daughter Gineva were taken from us on earth in a fatal plane accident.
Shery brought joy to all who knew her. She was playful and wild and full of laughter. She will always be thought of as a kindhearted and giving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she touched. Her beautiful soul brought joy to her children, family and friends and she will be deeply missed. Shery's loving spirit will live on in her three sons Cole, Rusty and Reed Doucette.
Gineva was truly created from the same mold as her joyful mother. Her kind heart and tender-loving spirit brought absolute happiness to her family and friends, and has gifted those whom she loved and who loved her with a lifetime of cherished memories.
With so many unexpected expenses that follow with the tragic loss, we graciously look to Shery's extended Big Bear Family for support to help in the transition of guardianship for her three sons who will carry on the Doucette Family name, and for memorial services for Mother and Daughter. Please share this post with your friends and family.
As you may be aware, a friend of the Doucette children, with the best of intentions, started an initial GoFundMe without the coordination of the Doucette family. While we appreciate their initial efforts and that money WILL go to the family, we prefer the Memorial for Shery & Gineva Doucette GoFundMe account be used as it is coordinated with the family's approval and is the official GoFundMe. Thank you again for all your love and support.
Sally Meeks is Shery's mom. She and the family have set up a trust for the boys. The funds from the 3 GoFundMe's will all go in the boys trust.
As of now the boys are on the way to the Meeks home in Texas. We are excited for the boys new adventures in Texas, and anticipate many Big Bear visits to family and friends in the future.
