Memorial for Roxana Reyes

Our beloved Ms. Roxana Reyes recently passed away on November 14, 2021. Roxana was a wonderful mother, sister, daughter, teacher and friend, who touched the lives of those around her She leaves behind her daughters, Karen and Andrea; her husband, Elias; her siblings, Gabriella, Federico, Gustavo and Marco; and her mother, Esther. She was preceded in death by her father, Federico G. Reyes. 

 

Roxanna was born in Oakland, California, and she and grew up close by in Newark. She is a graduate of Moreau Catholic High School and California State University, East Bay. After college, Roxana moved to Mexico where she married and started her beautiful family. She just recently moved back to California earlier this year.

 

Roxana dedicated her life to her family and to her students. She has always been a teacher, and she absolutely loved her work. She always would say enjoyed spending time with the children that she taught because they would bring her so much joy. Most recently, Roxana was working as a teacher at Genius Kids and made an incredible impact to every child she worked with. She had a wonderful demeanor and was always so patient and kind with her students, their families and her fellow teachers. Roxana’s willingness to learn and grow, and her sweet and compassionate personality brought so much love to everyone’s lives.

 

We are all devastated by Roxana’s sudden and unexpected passing. We want to give Roxana the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes.
