We are raising money for the benefit of Amelia Canales and her children, Ricardo, Abraham, and Jenny, after the loss of her husband, Ricardo Canales.
Ricardo was a hard-working husband and father that went above and beyond to provide for his family. In the summer of 2021 he was diagnosed with cancer. The family took turns driving him New Orleans to be with him while he received treatment and for all of his appointments, with his son Abraham being there for the majority of these. Ricardo was not one to ask for help and he wanted to continue to work during treatment as he was the main provider for his family. However, the cancer and treatment quickly made that impossible. Ricardo was fighting his cancer with all of his strength but unfortunately he passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. He was an incredible person that will always be missed and he will never be forgotten.
Many have reached out with a desire to help, so we created this page. Anything is helpful and appreciated. The funds will be handled by Lisley Canales, Ricardo's niece. All funds will be given directly to Amelia. My uncle Ricardo put his family before himself always and we know he would not want his family to be left with a heavy financial burden. Thank you.

Ricardo fue un esposo y padre trabajador que hizo todo lo posible para mantener a su familia. En el verano de 2021 él fue diagnosticado con cáncer.
