On February 12th, my mama was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer that had spread throughout her body. She went through five rounds of targeted radiation for pain, and I thank God she did—it made this journey so much easier on her. She tried one round of chemotherapy, but it completely drained her. After spending a week in the hospital, she was sent home on hospice care.
For five weeks, she fought so incredibly hard, but on Friday, May 2nd, at 12:44 PM, she passed away with me right by her side. I will forever be grateful for the time that God gave us to say goodbye—something I will never take for granted.
Mama knew what was coming, and all she wanted was to go in peace. And that, she did. She had full faith that she was going to heaven to be with the Lord, and she knew in her heart that God had given her grace.
I want to thank everyone for the calls, texts, gifts, and visits through all of this. I truly couldn’t have done it without the endless support from each and every one of you.
Any donations will be put toward service, cremation and medical costs. Anything, even if it's just prayers for our family, are so much appreciated.
