Nancy Ferguson was not only my mom, but also my best friend and the loving mother of seven children. She was an evangelist who dedicated her life to preaching and teaching the word of God, always sharing kindness and encouragement with everyone she met. Her faith and sweet spirit touched so many lives, and she was truly the heart of our family.

Earlier this year, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. It progressed to stage four much faster than any of us expected, and between December and April, we had to say goodbye. The loss has been incredibly hard for our family, and we are still coming to terms with her absence every day.

My mom will be laid to rest in Memphis, Tennessee, but she has many friends and family in Michigan who would like to honor her memory. I am hoping to organize a memorial service in Michigan so that everyone who loved her can come together, share stories, and say their goodbyes.
