February 28 2024, we said goodbye to a remarkable man whose passing leaves a void which cannot be filled. After a long, difficult year of fighting, Mike Bershee lost his battle with cancer. His loving wife Amy and their daughters Lucy and Lyla are left behind to rebuild their lives after such a huge loss.

In 2020 Mike was diagnosed with renal cancer. Shortly after this, Doctors removed his kidney to prevent any spread of the cancer. Follow up tests showed the cancer had not returned. Upon hearing this great news, Mike continued furthering his education and traveling for the company he and Amy had built together. On April 13, 2023, Mike suddenly lost all feeling in his body from the arm pits down. He was taken immediately to the hospital and informed that an inoperable, aggressive tumor had grown and fused itself to his spinal cord paralyzing him. Along with this, he was diagnosed with stage 4 renal cancer that had metastasized. This news was devastating. Anyone who knows Mike understands that there is no way he was going to give up without a fight. Amy put all focus on the family becoming Mike’s caregiver. They had to close their dream they worked so hard for. Mike was treated with several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. A long, courageous, difficult and painful battle was fought. Early on Wednesday February 28, Mike was released from all his pain and suffering.
