My fabulous cousin Maureen V. Hurley passed away on 7/15/2024 suddenly. She was an Artist & Poet for all of her adult life. She taught children from Pre-K through High School. At one school Alexander Valley School she taught 3 generations of students for more than 40 years. Artist & Poets are paid by grants from the California Arts Council, Hass Foundation and many philanthropic organizations. Which means I am asking her friends, family & colleagues to help pay for a memorial to celebrate Maureen V. Hurley for her passion, her skill and her selflessness in sharing her creativity for her whole life. Her legacy is the students she taught to be fierce writers of Poetry.
