Martha Jo Laumer passed away February 24, 2021 at her home in Blanco, TX. Born in North Dakota in 1959 to Bobbie Jo Smith and Evelyn Faye Chapman Smith, Martha was 61 years of age. She is preceded in death by both of her parents.
Martha is survived by a loving family, her husband William David Laumer; daughter, Jessica Laumer Long and husband Timothy, their sons Blain Laumer and Tatum Long; son, Steven Laumer and wife Blaire, daughter Jordan; brother, Gene Smith and wife Devra; two sisters, Barbara Smith and Millie Hawkins. Martha is also survived by other loving relatives and a host of dear friends.
Martha left North Dakota and moved to California before coming to Texas in the late 1970’s. In 1981 she married her lifetime love, William “David” Laumer. They were married for 40 years. Martha and David raised their family in Blanco, Texas. She enjoyed riding motorcycles in the hill country with her husband and spending time with her many friends and family. Martha was a thoughtful, kind, and generous person who was always charitable to people in need. She had a soft spot for animals, enjoyed cooking meals from vegetables grown in their garden, was a jigsaw puzzle aficionado, and an avid reader. A dedicated employee and hard-worker, Martha always made her colleagues her friends too. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
