Family, friends, and anyone in-between, we reluctantly but humbly ask for assistance to help our family cover funeral and memorial expenses for my sweet mother. We never dreamed this would all happen so suddenly and we thank any and all generosity and compassion during this time.
On Saturday June 6th at roughly 5 am, my mother Margarita Ornelas de Vargas passed away. A little over a year ago her fight with COPD led to a diagnosis of Pulmonary Hypertension. This disease made it incredibly challenging for her to breathe, a normal function that many of us take for granted. This disease caused her heart to beat faster in an attempt to make up for the lack of oxygen being brought in by her lungs. Her heart fought and fought, working overtime to compensate for her ever failing lungs and ultimately her poor heart fought until it could no more. In a world of modern medicine where living into your 80s and 90s is commonplace, my mother wouldn't live to see 62, passing just days short of her birthday on June 10th.
Many didn't know about my mother's health conditions as she lived a quiet and very private life. She feared death as we all do, but most of all she feared being alone. Now she'll never be alone as she will be reunited with her parents, two brothers, and her late husband, my dad Agustin, whom we lost 10 years ago. It brings us peace knowing this and knowing that she can now rest in no pain and best of all, be able to breathe freely. She is survived by her loving granddaughter Arianna, her unborn grandson Mateo, her three children, Michael, Mark, and Michelle, her emotional support dog Max and his sister Olivia. Descansa en Paraiso mi madre querida. Margarita Ornelas de Vargas June 10, 1964 - June 6, 2026.
Any and all donations are extremely appreciated and received with great thanks. The kindness of others is what keeps the world going. Thank you for your time and your support to my family.
