Memorial for Lucas Carnelian
Donation protected
let’s help Lucas’ mom Helen with his final expenses.
Lucas R. Carnelian, 43, of Albany, passed away at the Samaritan Albany General Hospital.
The son of Phillip Morris and Helen Reddick, Lucas is survived by his mother Helen, life partner Sara, children Taylor, Alex, Emma; honorary children Willie and Alyson; grandchildren Jessica, Jameson and Junaper. Along with many other honorary family members he collected along his life.
He was preceded by his father, and beloved pet Conan.
Lucas, affectionately called Luc by his mother was born in Seattle Washinton then raised in the Seattle and Portland area. His mother describes him as “ such a good baby, and a kind hearted child.” He once won an award in the 6th grade for enthusiasm after rallying the class for good.
As a teenager in the 1900's, Lucas enjoyed skateboarding and discovered Magic the Gathering, a game he played for nearly three decades making many friends in the Magic community.
In his 20’s Lucas moved to Alaska, returning a few years later to Albany Oregon where he spent the remainder of his life.
Lucas enjoyed camping, cooking, Magic, and most of all spending time with his family. It should be noted how much he loved his children and family. He worked hard to be there for them, provide for them and care for them. “He was an amazing dad who always looked out for us”. His mother Hellen was beyond proud; “He brought himself up from the ditches to the greatness of home ownership and a career.”
Those who love him tell of his silliness and humor, beautiful smile and curly head of hair. “ He had a zest for life and lived each day.”
Services will be held during our family camping trip this summer.
A gofundme has been created to help his mother.
