Todd Nosal spent his life serving those in his community as a career Law Enforcement Officer (LEO). He was with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office for 15 years and eventually made it to Master Detective. Todd then transitioned to the Town of Dumfries for the last three years of his law enforcement career.
Tragically, Todd took his own life on August 9th, 2022.
Throughout his career, Todd would receive numerous commendations, most notably the DOJ Attorney General’s award, while he was a Task Force Officer/Special Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATF).
Todd was featured on an episode of Dateline in October 2015 (“The Agent’s Wife”) for his work on a high-profile case involving an FBI agent/instructor who killed his wife. https://www.nbcnews.com/dateline/video/full-episode--the-agents-wife-540944963895
Before entering law enforcement, Todd served four years in the US Army. He served with the 3D US Infantry Regiment (“The Old Guard”) at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery, honoring our Nation’s fallen heroes.
While Todd was passionate about his career in law enforcement, his greatest love was his children. Todd was a doting father who hardly missed a sporting event or school activity for the kids. He leaves behind his adult daughters; and stepsons, Peyton, 20 & Maddox, 15, whom he raised as his own.
I have started a memorial fundraiser on behalf of the Nosal family to help cover the cost of his funeral expenses.
Todd’s beloved wife, Sanda, is devastated by the unexpected and tragic loss of her beloved husband. And probably, like most of us, she was unprepared for the high cost of a memorial and other hidden financial burdens that arose after his death.
I am reaching out to the community in hopes that we can help lessen the burden and allow her to grieve without the additional pressure of finances.
All funds raised will go to funeral expenses and getting Sanda established for her next phase of life without Todd. In the event of excess funds, a donation will be made in Todd’s honor to Blue H.E.L.P. Blue H.E.L.P.'s mission is to help other law enforcement officers struggling with PTSD, reduce the stigma for seeking support, and to support families in coping with suicide. https://bluehelp.org
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing the link and sending love, light, and prayers to the Nosal family.
Note: The Memorial will be private.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
Respectfully,
Jennifer R. Ferrer (on behalf of Sanda, Peyton, & Maddox)
