Judy passed on to her next adventure Monday morning September 21st 2020 in Rockville, Maryland. In her final weeks she was more at peace than we have seen her in years and that has been such a blessing.
She lead a colorful and adventure filled life and was always happiest when around her family - a family which grew and grew the more she 'adopted' friends into being 'one of her kids'. She was the best at cheering people on, encouraging them and making sure people were cared for.
Her wish was to have her ashes buried with her Ma, Josephine in the family plot south of San Francisco. We just found out that the fees to make this happen are WAY more than what we had planned for so we set up this request so give people the opportunity to help out if they can. The minimum to make this wish a reality is $*2,400 so anything would be a welcome contribution. *Adjustments to the total are being updated here to account for funds coming in via other methods.
We will hold an online memorial for her **Saturday October 3rd** and hold off on the actual burial in Colma until we have the funds and can all be together safely. Hopefully summer 2021.
We will keep everyone posted on plans etc. I (Julienne) am organizing and Richard will be taking care of the financial stuff.
To make our planning a bit easier, we'd like to finish fundraising by the end of October. We understand that many folks are limited in their funds due to Covid-19 so please only give if you are able to comfortably.
