New goal is $2500 for a Ted Ensley Garden bench!

John Leonis Donaldson was a gentle giant, a true defender of others, and a bright light for everyone who knew him. He was deeply committed to his faith and always put the needs of others before his own, never asking for anything in return. John’s kindness and strength touched countless lives, and his memory continues to inspire those who loved him.

To honor John’s legacy, we are raising funds for a public memorial in Topeka, Kansas—ideally a bench or similar tribute in a space where people can gather, reflect, and leave flowers. We hope this memorial will become a place of comfort and remembrance for friends, family, and the community. In addition to the memorial itself, we would like to host a dedication event and create a fund for ongoing upkeep, ensuring that John’s spirit of protection and care lives on.
