Memorial for Dianna Marie McCarthy

On March 11, 2026, Dianna Marie (Tramontozzi) McCarthy, only 54, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after decades of bravely fighting long-term complications from cancer treatments. Her quiet strength finally gave way, but her unbreakable love lives on in those she cherished most.

Born June 5, 1971, in Newton, Massachusetts, Dianna was the beloved daughter of Gerald M. Tramontozzi of Marlborough and the late Joanna M. (Molla) Tramontozzi, who passed just months earlier in October 2025—only 6 months after her own cancer diagnosis. Raised in Marlborough, Dianna remained deeply connected to her community. A 1989 Marlborough High School graduate, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Assumption College in 1993 and attended New England School of Law. Her career included roles as a Research Analyst and Paralegal for the Massachusetts State Auditor, and most recently as a Project Accountant at Senko Advanced Components.

Dianna's heart belonged to her family. She was the devoted wife of Kevin McCarthy until his sudden heart attack in April 2005 made her a widow at 33. Their three young sons—Patrick J. McCarthy (6), Gerald F. McCarthy (4), and William F. McCarthy (2)—lost their father in an instant. But Dianna refused to let tragedy define them. With determination she raised her boys alone for two decades, sacrificing everything to provide stability and joy in their Marlborough home. Dianna's world was Patrick, Gerald, and William; she beamed watching them become young men and adored being grandmother to Alaiyah, Patrick's daughter.

Despite relentless health battles throughout most of her life, Dianna faced them with courage and grace, always putting her family first. Now, at 27, 25, and 23, her sons are orphans—reliving the childhood pain of losing their dad, but this time without their mom's guiding light or either parent to lean on in their young adulthood.

These donations will help Patrick, Jerry and Billy pay off the mortgage on their family home and cover funeral and other immediate expenses.

Any amount, no matter how small will be greatly appreciated and will provide meaningful support as they honor their mother’s legacy.

With gratitude,
The McCarthy and Tramontozzi Families
