David was born in Hemet, California on November 7, 1997, to Hipolito Valenzuela Torress and Rebeca Sundling. When David was four days old, David was transferred to Loma Linda University Hospital for immediate surgery to implant a pacemaker. Since then, David had to have open heart surgery every five years to replace his pacemaker for a new one. David was always strong and kept a positive attitude towards recovery, even when it kept him from participating in sports and physical activity with his friends. The most recent surgery for a pacemaker replacement was in 2020 during COVID, when David could not have any visitors see him before or after surgery and therefore had to endure the last surgery he would have alone. During David’s childhood, he took up skateboarding and playing piano and became a skilled guitarist and singer. David always enjoyed watching NASCAR and watching competitive skateboarding. David was loved by all his close family, cousins, and teachers throughout his school years and always had a smile and a laugh to share with others. David always knew how to light a room. David attended San Jacinto Elementary, Valle Vista Elementary, Dartmouth Middle School and Hemet High School. In High School David was on the Varsity Team for Track and Field (long jump, hurtles). David also was in the Hemet High School Airforce Junior ROTC program. During this time David had a passion to enlist in the Navy or to join the California Highway Patrol (CHP). In his adulthood, David became a skilled woodworker specializing in patio furniture. David later worked for Desert Towing for around two years, and after, David was employed at Wind and Sea Company for over three years. During this time, David made many good friends that made sure to look after David and care for him. David had a beautiful son named Edward who was born in 2019. David recently committed his life to Jesus Christ by becoming baptized at Community Christian Church on April 9, 2023. David had a passion for his Harley Motorcycle named Golden Dragon 19 and passed away at Point Magu, California, after eating lunch with his friends. David passed away while enjoying his passion, riding his motorcycle. David is survived by his mother, Rebeca Sundling (stepfather David Sundling); father, Hipolito Valenzuela (stepmother Patricia Valenzuela); oldest sister Perla O. Valenzuela; older sister Cristal M Crane; youngest sister Rebeca Valenzuela; stepbrother Haven Chun; stepbrother Alan Chun; partner Darion Castleberry; and his son Edward Castleberry. *All proceeds will be used to cover funeral costs, thank you for your support and consideration.
