Memorial for Baby Sebastian

Hello Everyone,

This initiative that I am coordinating is on behalf of my sister Isabel Gomez and Eddie Mayen, who lost their sweet baby boy.

On June 4th, 2019, tragedy struck that left our family devastated and at a loss for words. Our youngest member of our family and my nephew, baby Sebastian Mayen was taken unexpectedly and passed away at the tender age of 1 year and 8 mo due to a drowning accident. At this time we are just trying to make sense of the tragic event that has left us shaken to our core. Our angel was vibrant, curious, and never left us in a dull moment which is the way we wish to remember him by. It fills our hearts knowing there are many friends and family with pouring support for us. As a family we have never gone through anything like this, and that is why we are asking for your help.


Due to the sudden occurrence of events, we are setting this up to help the parents, my sister Isabel and Eddie with the memorial and burial costs. At this time are looking at costs of about 10k. We will humbly take whatever amount we receive with the highest of gratitude.

We are exceedingly grateful for the support that we continue to have during our time of grief. To everyone that has called, texted, messaged, myself or my family members or visited us at our homes- Thank you, it means the world to us.  To those that have brought us food, water or sending a text to see how we're doing, please know that your actions have helped us cope and keep healing. Words cannot express how much we appreciate everyone's unique form of contribution.

To Sebastian: We are so sorry you slipped through our hands. Please forgive us and know we never meant for any of this happen. Please understand you did nothing wrong. You were perfect in every way and we can't wait to reunite with you again. Rest peacefully sweet boy.

Service details as of 6/10:

Viewing: Wednesday 6/12 4pm to 8pm at Arlington Mortuary, Riverside, CA
Burial: Thursday 6/13 10am at Olivewood Cemetery, Riverside, CA
