Memorial for baby Maverick Holland
Donation protected
February 14, 2020 Nikki went to a doctor visit (sonogram) to see baby Maverick. They immediately sent her to the hospital to get a steroid shot to open his lungs and get him prep to enter the world. She got 2 doses within a 24 hour time frame. February 16th she went into labor and they performed an emergency C section. Unfortunately, Maverick didn't make. His little heart just wasn't strong enough.
Nikki and Taylor now have to hold a funeral for their child. They would love to have him cremated and to have necklaces made so Maverick will be with them everywhere they go.
The hospital did provide them with resources and funeral homes. But of course the parents will still have to come out of pocket for Mavericks funeral cost.
NO PARENT should have to bury or cremate their child! Maverick was almost full term. He looked so healthy, yet was lifeless.
I am asking all of our friends and family to come together and help not only with his funeral, but their finances for the next few weeks until Nikki can recover and and go back to work.
Please keep them in your prayers. Keep Nikki's oldest son in your prayers too. He lost his baby brother and is trying to understand why.
What is love and loss? No matter if someone is 90 years old or if someone never felt the warmth of a home, when we lose a family member, it hits just as hard, every time. A love for family is not something that happens over time, it starts as soon as just the thought of them happens. Once inside our minds, they are forever in our hearts. A loss of a family member does not mean we stop loving them or forget about them, it means we love them harder and let them live on, from generation to generation
