Memorial for Alvin Safari

Friends, family, and community, we ask for your support as we deal with tragedy.

 

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Lokiane Alvin Safari. Beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend.

 

We're devastated by Alvin's passing and struggle to find the words to express our pain. We are currently in need of funds to lay Alvin to rest appropriately. This fundraiser is being organized by Alvin’s father-in-law Jean-Paul Mutalimba on behalf of his daughter, Alvin's wife, Therese Mutalimba.

 

Alvin was a central member of Portland's Congolese community, and his loss will be felt by all those who came into contact with him. He was a kind, gentle, and most of all, caring individual who put the needs of others before his own.

 

The Safari family would appreciate your help in laying Alvin to rest. Alvin is survived by his wife Therese, his 6-year-old son Israel, and many brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews.
