Alex fought hard for 17 years. She was a strong, caring young lady with so much potential, but the demons of her past were just too much for her to bear. She struggled a lot, but never stayed down long...she moved on...smiling and laughing...but when the world crashed down, it seemed to crash hard. She carried the weight of the world on her shoulders...something no child should have to do.
Alex has a long history, and I will not share a lot of details, but she was the victim of severe abuse as a young child and was removed from her home and placed in foster care. She came into our lives at the age of 7, bringing so much joy and energy. She loved her little sisters so much and they adored her. She absolutely loved just about everyone and saw the best in everyone. She always wanted to help everyone else and was there to cheer up her friends (and some people she didn't even know well).
Although we are not necessarily asking for donations, we know that there are a lot of people who want to be able to provide support and donations, as they are far away. We will designate the memorials at a later time.
We greatly appreciate the love and support that has been shown to us by our family, friends, school families, and our community as a whole.
Fly high, sweet angel!
