Raymond Nobis was a father, son, brother, and friend who made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Known for his big laugh, sense of humor, and kindness, Ray brought joy and warmth wherever he went. He deeply loved his beautiful daughters, cherished his family, and found happiness in sports and singing. Ray's life-long friend Tom, has been a wonderful support and friend since childhood. Ray’s ability to make friends everywhere and his generous spirit touched countless lives.

We are raising funds to honor Ray’s memory with a celebration of life this August and to create a lasting tribute in Des Moines, a place filled with special memories for Ray, his daughters, friends and family. The funds will help cover memorial and celebration expenses, as well as the installation of a memorial bench in downtown Des Moines, central to the places where Ray’s family and friends live, work, and shared their lives with him. This bench will have a view of the south side of the Des Moines Marina, and is walking distance to the ABC market, a place Ray was a known and well loved character.
