It is with great sadness that I write this, as a friend!
On Wednesday we (the world) lost an incredible young woman - An Italian who came to live her American Dream! After being in the country for 7 months, as a 3-sport athlete, American enthusiast, and a true gift to everyone she met, Giorgia lost her life in a tragic accident. Her natural parents have requested that any monetary contributions be collected in an effort to get her American family to Italy for memorial services.
To everyone who had the opportunity to meet her, please know her parents are forever grateful for the love that you shared with their daughter, as well as welcoming her as one of our own. They are proud of their daughter and the impact she had in a small amount of time while living her American Dream!
Both sets of her parents will be working to determine the best way to honor her in America before she returns to Italy, and I will post those updates as they come!
