How does one begin to describe or put into words the heartache of something so deep, so tragic that no words will ever be sufficient enough? That is where we find ourselves now. The sudden unexpected death of our cherished son Dylan has left us numb and, at times, almost unable to breath. His father and I, his big brother, Dylan’s amazing fiancé and her darling daughter are devastated beyond description. But more than us all, Dylan’s precious 11-year old son Aiden is suffering the irreplaceable loss of his father, his best friend, his mentor and hero. It is impossible to measure the width, length, breath, and depth of his grief and pain. Again, there are no words.
Some of Dylan’s many friends have shared how he has affected their lives and what he meant to them. Their thoughts express what we are unable to say. Statements such as “the beacon of my life, full of life, the boys will never be the same, my best friend, the world will never be the same, a true friend, an awesome person with a big heart, helped me more than I could ever repay” are just a few of the countless outpourings from those who knew and loved him and whose hearts are broken and hurting as ours. He dedicated himself to reaching out to help, undergird, and bring freedom to untold numbers of souls that life had left behind and forgotten but whom he found worthy and valuable of his attention and care. Dylan himself described his thinking best with the header on his Facebook Page saying “Never feel alone, we are always here. Even in death.”
And so, the purpose of this Go Fund Me account (and in lieu of flowers) is to humbly and respectfully ask for contributions of any amount you are able in order to set up an Education Account for Dylan’s son, our grandson, Aiden. His future now faces challenges and difficulties that will impact his life and the life of his mother Brittany in ways that are yet to be fully known or understood. The funds from this account will help to provide the opportunity for Aiden’s dreams and the dreams of his father for him to be fulfilled. We thank you for your assistance in helping the son of this most remarkable man.
