Memorial Dog Park for Boomer
Tax deductible
On February 11, 2019 our beloved hound mix, Boomer, was killed on his evening walk by an illegally set trap in Pontiac Lake State Park. At only a year and a half old, we were shocked and devastated not only by his death but the violent manner in which it occurred.
If you had met Boomer you know there was nothing he loved more than running around playing with other dogs. In his memory, we are working with Pontiac Lake State Park, Elizabeth Lake Animal Rescue, and the Pontiac Lake Horseman's Association to expand the small, off leash dog area in order to create a larger, safe, and happy place for dogs to run and play. $15,000 covers the cost of additional fencing, building a small pavilion, adding benches and some trash cans.
