Donation protected
This fundraiser is set up on behalf of the family of Judith Ann (Robey) Buckvold, to help with the costs of cremation and memorial services.
Buckvold, Judith Ann (nee Robey) age 78, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2022. Preceded in death by parents Carl and Ruth Robey, and sister-in-law Tee Robey. Survived by husband, Peter Buckvold; children, James and Anne; grandchildren, Harriet, Jesse, Ingrid, Francine; siblings, Rex (Kay), Ellen, Bill; and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A naturally gifted artist, with no formal training, Judy was hired by the Dayton's advertising department. She then spent one year working at Jordan Marsh in Boston. In 2000, Judy completed a five-year program of full-time training in classical realism at the Atelier Studio Program of Fine Arts. Passion and commitment kept her in this position until the final weeks of her life. Judy believed that technology is inherently limited when it comes to expressing the human spirit, and that fine art and tradition will always be its truest representation. Judy was the embodiment of humility and grace, and extended a generosity of spirit to all. A loving and tirelessly devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher, Judy was known for her quick wit, sharp eye, and unending loyalty. She will be greatly missed. Memorial Service Thursday, August 4th at 5pm at Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina. Visitation 2-5pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to TheAtelier.org
