Memorial costs for DJ Harder (& WCS scholarship)
On the morning of Tuesday, September 22nd, the world lost a great light. DJ Harder made a choice that he can never take back and left this world a sadder place. DJ left behind his mother, stepfather, two toddler siblings, grandparents and great grandparents, best friends, aunts and uncles and countless others who were blessed by his presence. From birth, we called him an old soul and his wisdom, despite his youth, never disappointed.
DJs mother is currently on disability from work after an injury and we are not sure whether the small life insurance policy they had for him will pay out based on the circumstances of his passing. If you are moved to give, any amount will help as we make arrangements to put him to rest and celebrate his life. Any monies above what is needed will go towards a scholarship in his name at WoodlandChristian School.
His family and friends are devastated but want to spread awareness to others so that this never happens to another son or daughter. All life is precious and if you are struggling, please reach out to a friend or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.
Who am I: I have been asked to manage this fundraiser, make all payments for arrangements and coordinate with the school to organize the scholarship account by DJ’s family, specifically Melissa and Cindy. Melissa and I were raised together from birth and we raised our sons together. Our boys talked often about their kids being the 5th generation of friends for our families. Melissa and I are sisters...DJ is my nephew. Blood had nothing on our relationship.
for those interested, a separate meal train is being organized by another family friend.
