Memorial Concert Band of Colonie at Carnegie Hall

The Memorial Concert Band of Colonie , have been providing free live local performances entertaining Capital District Audiences for over 20 years. We are a 70+ member musical ensemble, from every corner of the Capital District, providing the best Symphonic Winds Music from the classics of Sousa and Copland to contemporary composers such as DeMeij.
We are the pinnacle of, and in the best traditions of ‘amateur’ bands. We provide professional level concerts; the only difference is that most of our members are working professionals or retirees from other than the music field.
Recently, the MCBC’s Spring Concert was heard by members of the Association of Concert Bands Board of Directors. To say we were well received is an understatement. Our performance inspired an invitation to play at Carnegie Hall as part of their Veteran’s Day Concert this November. That’s right, the one and only Carnegie Hall. This is an opportunity that may never occur again.
We Need Your Help! Because of the rapid nature of this opportunity, The Town of Colonie is not able to provide the additional funds needed to send us our way. Member contributions and other donations have raised more than half of the needed funds to defray the costs of going; however, we need your help to push us over the top!
