Memorial bench for Tony Castaneda

Thank you for considering a contribution to this memorial fund to purchase and install a park bench and a tree at Community Park, in Munster Indiana, in the memory of Tony Castaneda.

Tony was a disabled veteran who served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a graduate of Calumet High School Class of 1971 and Indiana University Kelly School of Business, but what Tony enjoyed the most was being with his family and riding his motorcycle.

The intent of this memorial, however, is to acknowledge the dedication of Tony and India for their support of Munster Girls Softball.  Tony was very involved in the league, served on the Board of Directors and held several leadership positions for several years.  He eventually served as the President of the Board of Directors.  Tony especially enjoyed organizing and running the Fall softball league.   In addition, Tony and India worked tirelessly on behalf of the league running the concession stand profitably for the benefit of the league and the girls.  Tony was an excellent coach and also a great role model.

This park bench will be installed near the softball fields at Community park as a lasting memorial to the dedication Tony and India had for the Munster Girls Softball organization.
