Memorial Bench for Steven Nurmi

This campaign is to raise funds for a memorial bench at the Minnesota State Fair for Steven Nurmi.
It is the perfect way to memorialize Steven in a place he loved.
Steven suddenly passed away on September 5, 2018 at the young age of 37. Steven had many joys in life including music, sports, dogs, cars, and he never missed the Minnesota State Fair. Once summer began, so did the countdown to the Fair and Steven made multiple visits. The amount of joy it brought him was indescribable. He knew where everything was: every building, every food stand, every bathroom, every attraction. Whenever somebody wanted something specific, Steven always knew the direct route to get whatever they wanted.
Steven's truly unique sense of humor and love for family and friends will never be forgotten and we are very proud to put this together in his memory.
Notes about the bench:
* The bench will be red with Steven’s name on the back of it. It will be located in the area that has the barns and DNR building, one of his favorite areas of the Fair. Exact location will be communicated once it is installed.
* There will be a plaque attached that will have a picture of Steven and a short message.
* The benches have a 5 year warranty.
* If you would like to see what the benches look like, google “mn state fair bench” for examples.
* In order for the bench to be completed and installed for the Fair, the bench had to be purchased by July 1. Close friends of Steven have purchased the bench in full to ensure it is at the 2019 Fair. The funds raised will go directly toward this and anything additional will go toward further Memorials for Steven.
