Memorial bench for Leah

As most people reading this know, we lost an amazing person last year (12/11/20). Leah Rin Supulski was a special soul that touched so many people in her time here in DC as well as all the other places she traveled in her life.
Leah and I became conjoined at the hip almost immediately and for the four-ish years we knew each other we hardly left each other’s sides. To cut the story short I am choosing to start this for a few reasons.
1. Although her parents were not in DC, Leah had created a great family here. Her parents had her remains sent to them so she was never able to be laid to rest here.
2. Leah and I when we could would always go and walk around the arboretum… I know I know, sounds like a lot of exercise for Leah but we honestly did enjoy it.
3. Just like many others I am in need of some form of closure and having an actual place to pay my respects and grief properly would be nice to have.
The $5000 would go towards what the National Arboretum charges to make the bench and customized plaque that would be placed in the park for 15 years.
I wish I could write more at this time but just can’t so if you have made it to this point I thank you.
