Memorial Bench for Kris Freiermuth at Nadaka Park

My grandmother, Kris Freiermuth, was the co-founder and past president of the Wilkes East Neighborhood Association, a group that played a key role in funding and building Nadaka Park. She was a major part of her community and the city of Gresham government, touching countless lives through her dedication and service. Nadaka Park was her favorite project, one she treasured for many years, and it became a place where she poured her heart into making the neighborhood a better place for everyone.

Her love for the community was evident in everything she did, from organizing events at the park to advocating for improvements that benefited everyone. She believed in the power of coming together and worked tirelessly to create a welcoming space for families, friends, and neighbors. Her legacy lives on in the park’s trails, gardens, and the sense of belonging she helped foster.

I am raising funds to install a memorial bench at Nadaka Park in her honor. The funds will go directly toward the cost of the bench and its installation, creating a lasting tribute to her memory in one of the places she loved and treasured the most. I invite everyone who knew her, or who has enjoyed the park, to join me in honoring her legacy. Thank you so much for your support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser with others.
