John was a cherished husband, beloved father, and adored grandfather. He was passionate about animal care and found great joy in being outdoors, especially when he could share those moments with his grandchildren. Some of our most treasured memories are of John taking the grandkids fishing at the Lily Cache Greenway near our home. The park, with its peaceful ponds and memorial benches, became a special place for our family—a place where laughter, stories, and love were shared.

After John's passing, we wanted to find a way to honor his memory in a place that meant so much to him and to all of us. Placing a memorial bench at his favorite fishing spot feels like the perfect tribute. It will be a place for friends, family, and the community to sit, reflect, and remember the wonderful person John was. The funds we are raising will go toward the fabrication and installation of the bench, a memorial plaque, and ten years of maintenance to ensure it remains a lasting tribute.
