Please join us in honoring the life of Catherine Ruggiano. A memorial bench will be crafted in celebration of her life for her children and grandchildren to enjoy.

Catherine Ruggiano, 84, of Norwalk, died on March 2, 2025 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Norwalk, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (DiPisa) Sortino, she was the beloved wife of Giovanni (John) Ruggiano for 57 years.

She graduated Norwalk High School class of 1958 and Catherine Gibbs. A woman of faith, she was a member of St. Mary Church. She was also an avid reader and great fan of the Norwalk Public Library, but perhaps her greatest joy was in spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband Giovanni, Catherine is survived by their children: Charles Ruggiano and his wife Amy, Angela Pirrone and her husband Joseph, Robert Ruggiano and his wife Sarah, six cherished grandchildren, Anthony and John Michael Ruggiano, Matteo and Nicholas Pirrone and Robbie and Alivia Ruggiano, as well as her brothers Gene Sortino and his wife Teri and Joseph Sortino and his wife Judi.
