We’re raising funds to honor, Weldon Roy, with a memorial bench at Cataldi Park—a place that means so much to him and to our family.
For over 30 years, we’ve lived right next to the park, and it became part of his daily life. He walked there almost every day, even after his diagnosis with Non Hodgkin Lymphoma. It was his routine, his peace, and a place where he felt at home. If you knew him, you knew how much he appreciated the simple things—and those walks were one of them.
Cataldi Park isn’t just a park to us—it’s where memories were made, where Weldon spent countless quiet moments, and where we still feel close to him.
We’re hoping to place a bench at Cataldi Park in his memory, so that others can sit, rest, and enjoy the same space he loved so much. A small plaque will mark his name, but more than that, it will be a lasting reminder of a life rooted in consistency, presence, and appreciation for everyday moments.
Any support—whether through a donation or simply sharing this—means a lot to our family. If we exceed our $5k goal, all additional donations will be made to the American Cancer Society.
Thank you for helping us honor Weldon in a place that was such a meaningful part of his life.
