Memorial Bench in Loving Memory of Bryan Stonehouse
On Sunday, November 2, 2025, the Stonehouse family experienced the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Bryan Stonehouse — a beloved son, brother, and friend whose kindness, laughter, and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone around him.
Born and raised in Brandon, Manitoba, Bryan spent his childhood attending Kirkaldy Heights School and exploring the Brandon Riverbank area, a place that always held special meaning for him. He loved spending time there with his dad, volunteering at community events like Canada Day celebrations, and enjoying the outdoors.
To honour Bryan’s life and create a lasting place of remembrance, the Stonehouse family will be purchasing a memorial bench at the Riverbank Discovery Centre. This bench will serve as a peaceful spot for family and friends to visit, reflect, and celebrate the memories of the wonderful person Bryan was.
The fundraising goal is $6,000, which will cover the full cost of the bench and its installation. Any additional donations received will go to an animal rescue close to the Stonehouse family in honour of Bryan and his love for animals.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for contributions toward this project. Your generosity will help create a lasting memorial in a place that meant so much to Bryan and to all who loved him.
