A family near and dear to my heart lost an amazing man today.
A couple days ago, Doug was found unresponsive at while working out on his lunch break with JEA. He was transported to St.Vincent’s hospital in Jacksonville where they found a brain stem clot and placed him on a ventilator. He was given medication to help do away with the clot and shortly after placing him on the medication, the hospital staff found that that an aortic tear was the cause of the clot in his brain. Doug was not stable enough to sustain surgery and his heart slowly failed him.
This is absolutely heartbreaking and so sudden. I can’t even believe this family has to experience this.
Doug loved the Lord. He loved his wife (Heather), he loved his kids (Liam, Kayd, and Brianna) and he loved his grandkids (Braelynn, Brynleigh, Mattie and Millie) with everything he had. He will be dearly missed by so many.
I am asking everyone that can, to please lift the Roll family up in prayer and assist in any way possible. All proceeds will go directly to the family and will assist with memorial costs, bills, and the needs of his family, as he was the main provider for the family.
