David Warren Anderson
October 13, 1965 – October 23, 2021

Dear Friends of David W. Anderson: It is with great sadness we have said good bye to David - friend, father, brother, and uncle. David was a friend to all. No matter what life dealt him he looked forward with great positivity. He climbed every mountain put in front of him. The last month has been very difficult for his family and particularly his partner Crystal and his sons, Zac and Aaron, while David fought to get better. His son Zac has now had to make unimaginable decisions on David’s behalf with assistance from his extended family.

On October 23, 2021 10 days after his 56th birthday, David passed away from complications of COVID19 in Encinitas, California surrounded by his family. Crystal physically by his side and his siblings and other family members with him by zoom.

David was born in Los Angeles, California and adopted by Elmo and Arlene Anderson. He was the youngest of 6 children. He grew up in Glendale, California and lived there until he moved to Oceanside, California where he lived for many years raising his boys. David has 3 sons, Adam, Zac and Aaron. We all have our (now) fond memories of David to keep forever. He is survived by Crystal and their son Aaron, his son Zac, his siblings Jim (Sharon), John, Bob (Cathi), Stacy (Bob), Michelle (Nick) and many nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his parents, Elmo and Arlene Anderson, his son Adam and his sister-in law Janice.

We are planning a celebration of life in the Oceanside area where many of his friends fondly remember him. Most important to Zac is that David is laid to rest with his son Adam at Forest Lawn Glendale. We have meetings next week with Forest Lawn, and will know more at that time what costs and decisions need to be made to make this happen.

David didn’t expect this and didn’t have any arrangements made for something this tragic. The emotional and financial toll that this puts on surviving family members can be daunting. Zac is not prepared to undertake this and while David’s siblings are behind him, it is a burden that not any one of them can do alone. There are many people through out David’s life that supported him through thick and thin. We are hoping that you as his friends would like to make a donation to assist the family cover burial expenses.

We do not have any dates as of yet for services in Oceanside or Glendale or even what those look like at this point. It seems that arrangements like this take longer than they used to which is evidenced by the fact that you can’t even meet with the cemetery for more than a week after someone has passed away! Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.

We will post updates on the services once we have the information.
