On Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020 we unexpectedly lost an amazing young woman and mother, Kayla Michelle Phaneuf. Kayla was tragically killed in a car accident at the young age of 29. Her 3 year old son Markaylo was in the vehicle at the time of the crash, thankfully he only suffered bumps and bruises. A kindhearted bystander who witnessed the accident pulled Markaylo out of the car and called for help. Whoever you are- THANK YOU!!!!
If you knew Kayla, you knew she was a loving and proud momma to Markaylo, he was her entire world and she was his entire world. She was a loving daughter to her dad Mike, an amazing niece, sister, and friend. Kayla was always there for family and friends.
Kayla endured things in her short life that most people don't experience in a full lifetime. She handled things with her head held high, and was always seeking knowledge for a happy and healthy life. She worked hard to better herself so she could give Markaylo a better life than what she had growing up.
As her and her siblings went different directions in life, it was a priority to keep their relationships close and to stay connected- she made this happen.
Kayla LOVED hard and fought hard to create a family for her and Markaylo- it's our job now to keep that going.
