Funeral & Memorial Fund for Labor Leader Bob Brown

We are saddened to hear about the death of fellow comrade and organizer, Bob Brown.  Bob passed away on Friday, November 8th in Chicago, leaving behind friends, family, loved ones - and a legacy.  

Bob was the President of the United Electrical Workers and an organizer in SEIU.  He was on staff of the New Jersey Industrial Union Council (NJ - IUC) and District 1199C National Union of Hospital and Healthcare Employees, AFSCME. 

Bob was a founding board member of PhilaPOSH (Philadelphia Area Project of Occupational Safety and Health).  He was one of the founders of the U.S. Labor Party. He helped start the first Labor Day Parade in Philadelphia.

Bob was a member of the Kensington Wefare Rights Union and the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign. He was on the editorial board of the People's Tribune and a proud member of The League Of Revolutionaries For A New America.

Money that is raised from gofundme will be used for Bob Brown's funeral and memorial costs. Once costs are covered, then any remaining funds will be split evenly and donated to the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign & the League of Revolutionaries for a New America. A memorial will take place in Chicago, IL on Jan 11, 2020.
