My mother has recently been diagnosed with kidney and bladder cancer. Over 3 years ago she had her kidney removed where the tumors were covering and since then she has been resuming treatments at Mayo Clinic with every 3 month cystoscopys and a round of BCG treatments. As of yesterday, they have determined the tumors have now spread all over her only kidney and all over her bladder. They would like to remove her only kidney and complete bladder (making her a dialysis patient) and start her on chemotherapy, which will in turn end her life.
