Hello my name is Isaac Sykes and on behalf of Melvin Andrew Sykes and his family we attempting to raise money for my little brother's final expenses. Melvin Sykes was born January 16th 1980 and passed away unexpectedly on March 19th 2024 at the age of 44. During the course of his life Melvin battle a host of medical conditions, mental and physical and was unemployed and uninsured at the time of his passing. Additionally, Melvin leaves behind six beloved children: Israel Sykes Swanson; Ashon'te Da'je Sykes; Nathan Carlos Farmer; Tyler Sykes; Naphertina James; and Tyshaun Mack who will undoubtedly miss out no longer having their father in their lives.
All funds raised will go directly to cover the cost of Melvin's services and interment., as well as any assistance his children will need during this difficult time. Please know that the family thanks you in advance during this difficult time, and appreciate any assistance that is provided.
Melvin's memorrial services, funeral and repass, will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Christ Bilble Church 7877 S. Coles Ave. Chicago IL 60649 with the viewing beginning at 0900 and the memorial service beginning at 1100am.
The burial will take place at Burr Oak Cementary 4400 W 127th St, Alsip, IL 60803 at approximately 1:30pm.
The Repass will be held back at Christ Bilble Church 7877 S. Coles Ave. Chicago IL 60649 following the burial.
