Throughout his long and meaningful life, he was known for his kindness, his strong work ethic at both at the family farm and at Robin Hood Flour Mill where he retired after 32 years of service, and his deep love for his family and friends. He touched the lives of many with his warm smile and generous heart.
He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by anyone who had the opportunity to know him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
A special thank you to the palliative team at RUH specifically Quinn.
Melvin will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Funeral Home (210 Wess Rd, Saskatoon, SK, S7V 0S4) on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025. We invicte you to join us in remembering Melvin during a public viewing which will be from 2:00 - 3:00 pm; followed by a private graveside service for family. We then invite family and friends to join us for a celebration of Melvin's life at Smiley's Buffet (702 Circle Dr E Saskatoon, SK S7K3T7). At the families request the buffet will be at the guest’s discretion.
In lieu of flowers, if you are able to help contribute to the additional costs of the funeral. These are beyond what both Melvin and Jackie Campbell purchased in the 1970's. While Melvin would not want anyone to make a fuss over him; but we feel that he spent his many years taking care of other's and as a last gift - this just seemed appropriate.
