Mels Guitar: it was a Doosie!

IT WAS A DOOSIE!

Our friend, musician and teacher Melanie has had her beautiful, unique electric guitar stolen from outside the studio where we were recording and filming a track last Monday night.

It's no news to anyone that musicians are already doing it really tough in COVID times. Mel is fortunate to be a TAFE teacher but, as a part-timer, earns only during semester - enough to see her through just 32 weeks of the year. As a single mum Mel troupes on without much in the way of a safety net, and a loss like this is quite a setback. 

Another thing..  Mel is not only a fine guitarist but is one of the most generous souls around. She'll do anything for her students, for a friend, and for the love of music.

So we need to help her 'bring the Doosie back!' 

The guitar is a Deusenberg Paloma in bad-ass red.  Did you know that Duesenburg made cars originally and this is where the saying 'it's a Doosie' originates? Well this guitar was a total Doosie! Mel loved it and sounded awesome playing it.
