Mel's disaster relief

My friend Mel and his sister lost their childhood home due to an electrical fire. Mel is on 100% disability that will not adequatly cover a monthly rent. He did not have a mortgage as the house was paid off. I'm asking for 25,000 to cover a years worth of rent plus incidentals. Mel has been a loyal friend for 30 years who would give you the shirt off his back. There is not a more deserving person on the planet.
