My name is AJ Roberts. A former British Soldier of 15 years who, as well as serving in Afghanistan and Iraq also went to Sierra Leone towards the end of the civil war which tore through the country for 20 years.

In Jan 2022 I shall be travelling once again to Sierra Leone with the fantastic Melqosh Mission International and our wonderful CEO Faith Melqosh to deliver another desperately needed medical mission to the war amputees and their children.

This time it will mark the 20th Anniversary since the end of the blood diamond civil war. One of the most brutal and terrorising civil wars man has ever endured. The main aim of Melqosh is to help and support thousands of amputees who were butchered and maimed at a young age during the war, and their beautiful children to live the best life possible given their restrictions. We deliver desperately needed medical assessments and medication to drastically help improve their lifestyle.

Having been part of previous missions I have witnessed the sheer positive impact these missions have on so many people and it's phenomenal to be a part of, and being a proud patron of the amazing Melqosh family.
